…Our City…

Well, today I will to tell you about Santiago, a big city of Chile, I am living here, but I do not like so much this city, I will tell you why…

Santiago is the capital city of Chile, it is really big, and in here live a lot of people. I think, that one of the good things of Santiago is the architecture of the old buildings, they are very beautiful Palaces, and I love the old houses, the history of them principality, for this reason I love “El casco antiguo de Santiago”, but the governments don´t care this antiquities legacy, they only want to use this buildings for shops or stores. Well, for things like this I do not like Santiago so much; I think that the people in here are aggressive, they are stressed all the time and I hate this situation, too. Additionally, I think that the city is very dirty in a lot of aspects, and I think that the people don´t care the environment, their social and natural environment, and it is really sad for me. What do you think about this?

        Maybe good changes for Santiago will be clean the streets, and fix or improve the public transportation, because the people will be happy and they will be less stressed. And good places with beautiful old buildings for visitors are: “El barrio Lastarria” and “El barrio Yungay”, really if you know a tourist you must recommended her or him these places.

… A funny video…

Well, today I’ll tell you and show you a really funny video.

It is a good video about a parody of problems between Americans and Iraqis; this comedy is acted by a dead terrorist called Achmed.

Achmed is a very famous puppet, handle by Jeff Dunham, who is an American ventriloquist and stand up comedian. He has a lot of different characters like Achmed, and all of them are very sarcastic, ironic and politically incorrect, because they have a very special sense of humour (a black humour). But, I think that the best character of them is Achmed, because he is more didactic and more “friendly” than the other characters.

Well, in the video you will see a good performance of Jeff and his character (Achmed), with good jokes and a good satirization of Americans and the terrorist, in addition to this, I think that the scenery is very simple but it is really good, too.

The character Achmed is very special, he was a suicide bomber, but now, how you will see in the video, he is a skeleton, because he had problems with the detonation in a mission. Well, I think that he is very particular because is a bit sweet and a bit stupid and a bit bad, too; really he is very funny and very interesting. Well, I think that the best expressions of Achmed in the video are: Silence, I kill you!, and the joke of knock knock.

Something you'd like to learn...

Hello classmates. Today I speak about things that would like to learn. Well, I have very things that I would like to learn, because I really love learn new things; I’m very happy with I have new knowledge.  

Well, for example when I have 14 years old, I would learn plays the guitar, but I’m really bad with the guitar, because I have not patience with this.  Later in the last year of school I would learn play keyboard, but I learn basic things, because I have not time for practice...  but I always dreamt with learn this someday, because I really love their melodies. I like the music so much, because I’m felt very relaxed.

I would too learn more idioms, for example English, Japanese and Italian. English because is very necessary for my career, and also is the universal language. Japanese because I really love the Japanese music, because my favourite compositor is Japanese and I dreamt with listened their songs understanding all, without translation. And Italian because I think that is a beautiful language and I dream with go there someday.

Well, I always would to learn some martial art, and I very happy because now I practiced AIKIDO, and is very great.

Something you'd like to learn

Hello everybody.

Well, today I´ll tell you about something that I´d like to learn.

Really, exist a lot of things that I´d like to learn, but I think that it is a bit difficult, because I don’t have mucho time now. For example, I ever want to learn play piano, but I don´t have time and money for do this, another thing that I ever want to learn is dance tango and salsa, but I’m not a good dancer, and for to be a good dancer you must to dedicate a lot of time, and now I don’t have enough time, but someday I’ll do this. Well, when I studied in the school I danced in a group called Dance; they are similar to the Cheer Leaders, but Dance only works in the floor; the problem was that I couldn’t continue to dance there, because in my last year in the school I must went to the Preuniversitary and my horary didn´t coincide with the Dance’s horary; it was really sad, but anyway, it’s the life, I think.     

Well, the others things that I want to learn are speak French, Italian and Portuguese, and I´ll do this as soon as I can, because I want to go to Brazil, France and Italy someday =).

They are some things interesting for me, but what about you? What do you want to learn?

…Contribution…

Well, today I’ll tell you about a contribution from my career.

I’m studying Anthropology, because I think that it is a great career, it is very completely, and through this you can understand a lot of things about the Society and the History of the world in general and you can do your contribution from this comprehension.

I select this career, because I think that through this I could help a lot of people whose lost their relatives in different circumstances and maybe I can give them a bit of peace or in another circumstances I can clarify or explain a criminal case. In another, area of the biological Anthropology I can help the people in other forms and I think that it is a good thing of this career, because you can move in different fields. In my opinion the job of a biological Anthropologist is really important and the things that I mentioned recently are some of the contributions from the professionals of the Anthropology (in the biological mention) to the World and the Society, but Social Anthropology and Archeology are important, too; because they contribute in other forms.      

In the case of Anthropology in general, the tools that they need are good machines for the experiments and good laboratories for work, but I think that the most important tool for an Anthropologist is the contact with the people, because in this moment the career is not very popular, and the people don’t understand what we do and for this reason they don’t help us in the investigations.

At this moment I haven’t a favorite subject, because I like all of them in general.

Hello everybody.

Well, today I´ll tell you about my favorite TV series.

On Thursday we must to do a presentation about something related with our career, and I want to tell you about this, because my imagination isn’t very good, so sorry about this.

Well, Bones is one of my favorites TV series, and it is about a forensic anthropologist from USA called Temerance Brennan, she is very clever, and she has the best job of the world, because through this (her job), she can help a lot of people whose lost their relatives like happened in our country during 70´s and 80´s or in other circumstances.

I want to be like her, because I want to help people that live in this situation, too.

Well, this series is really I think, and I invite you to see this if you don´t know this series.

In the series, Brennan woks with Booth, a special agent of the FBI, and a great team with great professionals, and together they try to solve criminal cases.

I think that this series is good, because it shows us the world for a biological anthropologist, and it shows our beautiful career to the world.

Well, today I’ll tell you about my favorite sites on internet.

Well, really I don’t like to stay much time in the computer, I think that it is boring, but when I use it, the first pages that I usually open are: www.gmail.com, www.facebook.com and www.youtube.com , the last one page is my favorite page, because I relax to listen to music, it is very necessarily for me. Well, they are pages for my entertainment, but the pages that I use for information, are: www.elmostrador.cl, but only sometimes, or any online newspaper (the traditional newspapers).

Well, I began to use the Gmail, in the University; I had to create this, because Hotmail is terrible and I need something quickly and efficient, and for this I know this site, and it is very good, I like it =).

Well, the first time that I saw Youtube, was a day that I stay with a friend in her house, and we want to listen a song and we search this on internet, and the song was in Youtube. And well, I don’t like the social pages like Facebook, but I had to create an account, because in my school I stayed in a lot of workshops, and we decided to create an account in Facebook, and how I say sometime I read the newspapers on internet, and really I don’t remember when I began to visit them.

Well, I try to visit all this pages only when I need them, Gmail is unique the page that I visit every day, because it is necessary for the University and because through this site I speak with my aunt and my cousins.

Well, they are my frequent sites on internet and I try to enjoy on them.

Favorite Band... 

Hello everybody:

Today I´ll tell you about my favorite band.

What is my favorite band? It is a difficult question for me, because I love a lot of bands from different rhythms and different languages (I love music); but at this moment I think that my favorite band (in English) is “Simply Red”, they were a British group, I’m saying “were” because they separated in the 2010. Anyway, I love this band, because the lyrics of their songs are very beautiful, and the rhythm of their music is really cool. The type of music that they play is a mixing of Pop, Soul, Jazz and Rhythm&Blues. Well, I haven’t a favorite song of them, because I love all their songs, but I think that one of the most famous song of them is “Stars”. I need to tell you that If you haven´t heard any song of them yet, do this, because they have great songs.

Well, how I said before, it is not the unique band that I love, for example, I like the (Chilean) band “los Bunkers”, their music is really fantastic!; another band that I love is the Bon Jovi band, I love all their songs, and I love Bon Jovi ,too…

Well, they are some of my favorite bands and songs; really my list is very long…

Hello classmates:

Well, today I’ll tell you about a special picture for me.

Ok, I selected this picture, because I remember a lot of good things with this, and it is really special for me, because I shared a lot with all my best friends in this trip, and now I miss these moments.

This picture was taken for my friend Diana (I think, really I’m not sure) when we were in our study trip. In this picture you can see a very beautiful wooded landscape, and you can see my friend Sofia and me between the trees, too.

This picture was taken in December 2009 (a long time ago) the day that we and all my school classmates went to know “Saltos del Petrohué”. In this walk, we walked for a long time, and after we walked around 1 hour, we stopped in this site; I think that it is a really beautiful place, you can see the green trees, maybe you can appreciate the texture of the land and you can imagine the atmosphere of this site (I think). When I was there I feel relaxed. I like this picture, because through this I appreciate the wonderful of our Planet, and I try to care this, because I want to live in a place like this.

When I see this picture, I remember the fresh air and I want to come back there...

Hello everybody:

Well, in this occasion I'll tell you about the technology. It’s an important issue in our society, and I think in our life, too.

When I think on technology, the first thing that I visualize is my cellphone, I love it, because with this I can take pictures, I can listen to music and radio and I can speak with my parents, my brothers and sister and with my friends. I think that is really fantastic have all of this things in only one artifact.

I have this cellphone, because my dad gave it to me last year (I think that it was in April, but 'm not sure). Since this month I use it all the time, for example like my alarm, and in the bus I use it for listen to music. 

The other thing that I think when the people say technology is in my computer and the socials programs like Skype and Facebook. I think in this, because I have family far away of Santiago and I can speak and see them through Skype (for this I love this program), and I love my computer, because without it I couldn't use this programs (I use Facebook, too, but I don't like it so much). Well, I bought my computer last year, too and I use it really all the time, with this I do my reports; I speak with my family, and some other things. I love my computer, because I can to keep here a lot of books, reports, music, imagines and I can stay in contact with my aunt and my cousins.   

Well, that’s all about me, but what about you, what do you think about technology?

Hello everybody:

Well, in this post, I´ll tell you about a great place that i went a few time ago, it is in Chile (I´ve never go out of Chile). This place is "El lago de todos los Santos", it is a beautiful lake situated in the X region of Chile, i went there about two years ago with my school friends, it is a big and beauty lake, it is "near" to Puerto Montt, and it is very near to the place called Saltos del Petrohué, another incredible place, with cascades and enormous trees, this places have an incredible vegetation.

We went there for our study tours, and we crossed this lake in a motorboat, in the way, we began to play with the water, and in a minute, I don´t know how, we began to wet inter us, and it was really funny, after that we began to take pictures and we ran for the shore of the lake, i love this memories and i hope to come back there soon, i recomend you go to this beautiful place. 

Additional to the beauty of the place, i think that i love this, because it was the last time that i went out with all my school classmates, and I miss them. 

Well, I hope that it will be a good story for you, I recommend you go to this place, take care dear reader =).
